| The Division
of Public Health Crisis Response is
responsible for controlling the spread
of emerging infectious diseases such
as SARS and avian influenza. The Division
is tasked with establishing pandemic
influenza preparedness plan and improving
it through trainingexercises to ensure
the preparedness of the Center and the
Government in response to both domestic
and international public health threats
and emergencies. |

| In addition, the Division is also
committed to securing facilities and
appropriate infection control supplies
such as vaccines and antiviral drugs,
preventing avian influenza in humans,
improving international collaboration
for public health crisis response, and
coordination interagency activites with
other government agencies and local
offices responsible for emergency preparedness
and public health emergencies. |
