The Center for Korean Network for Organ Sharing contributes to the improvement of national health through organ donation, and transplant management and blood safety management.
The Center for Korean Network for Organ Sharing(KONOS) engages to promote organ sharing culture by improving national awareness, promoting educational projects and recognizing respectful contributions of organ donors. It also promotes fair distribution of organs, as well as active organ donations and transplants through strict transplant target selection processes.
In addition to ensure the safety of blood, KONOS evaluates each blood centers, manages safety of blood donors and blood transfusions, screens people banned from donating blood, investigates and manages the side effects of blood transfusion, and monitors blood supply control samples.
